How to Get Rid of Acne

I have experienced acne pretty bad since about 13 years old. Over the years I have tried every product and every regimen out there to get rid of my acne. After all of the trial and error, here are 3 of the best ways to get rid of acne.

  1. Water

This is the best treatment for acne that I can recommend out there. Water is medicine for almost anything in our body. Drinking a lot of water will change your life in many ways, but acne especially. I probably would’ve been done with acne a long time ago if I would’ve known about this a few years ago.

What I found is the best way to cure acne with water is by drinking enough water so that your pee turns completely clear. The reason for this is because your body is telling you that all of your toxins and bad bacteria have been flushed out of your body completely. Now I’m sure you can see why drinking a lot of water is important for anything related to your body.

How does water help?

Water keeps the face hydrated, which stops your face from being dry. When your face is dry, your body responds by producing more oils. These oils can then be too much for your face and block off the pores which causes your white heads to form.

  1. Wash Your Face

This one is pretty obvious, but most people ignore it or don’t do it properly. Washing your face will get rid of all of the dirt and excess oils on your face that are sitting there for way too long. Since were teenagers, it just makes everything worse and it sucks. As stated earlier, that oil build up is how those white heads form.

What I found is the best way to go about washing your face is to do it twice a day. You can also do it in the shower with a good facial cleanser that is gentle on the skin if that’s easier to get it done. After making sure your hands are completely clean, take some of the cleanser and rub it in to your hands so it covers the entire surface of them. Then gently rub it in circles around every part of your face including your neck. Try not to be aggressive as this really doesn’t help in any way. Let the cleanser do the work for you.

How does washing your face help?

Regardless of age or gender, your face is filled with bacteria, viruses, dirt, oils, and dead skin. Washing your face gets rid of the unwanted germs that are increasing the chances of getting zits. Opening up the pores and clearing away the bacteria will dramatically help avoid a lot of pimples.

  1. Moisturize

So many people, including myself, have avoided moisturizing after washing their face. This heavily ties to #2 and should almost be included together as one thing. Washing your face will clean you up, but most of the time, your skin will be a little dry after. The dryness will lead to even more oil build up which we don’t want. Instead, moisturizing your face after you wash it will give it that soft and cool feeling that tells your body there is no need to produce more oil.

The best way to moisturize your face is by putting individual drops in your hand and go around parts of your face separately instead of putting a bunch of it at once and rubbing it all around. Be gentle so your face does not get irritated after you’ve just washed it. For an extra chill feeling, fan your face with your hand so the moisturizer picks up the breeze and soaks into the skin faster.

How does moisturizing help?

Moisturizing prevents the skin from being dry after being washed. Without this important step, you are likely to be making your face even worse. Moisturizing will also loosen the sebum in your pores.
